PERROTT, ELIZABETH ALISON July 12, 1925 – May 20, 2023 Alison passed away peacefully, at home, on May 20, 2023, in her 98th year, in the caring comfort of her family. She was predeceased six months ago by her beloved husband of 72 years, Donald. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Janice DeYoung (John), David (Karen), Joan Pantlin (the late Doug), Judy Kitching (Rick Nagel) and Richard (Daniella). She was a doting grandma to her thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly. She was a proud matriarch who welcomed each new addition to her ever-growing family and delighted in holding each new baby when they arrived. Alison was predeceased by both her dear sister, Ruth Sheffield; and many years ago, her brother, Donald Blair Sheffield. She will also be fondly remembered by her neighbours and her church community at Donway Baptist, where she was a longtime active member. As a young woman, Alison moved to Toronto from Brantford to train at The Hospital for Sick Children as a registered nurse. She was a natural caregiver who was kind and caring to all people. With the companionship of her husband, she enjoyed attending concerts, theatre and travelling. A celebration of Alison’s life will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Donway Baptist Church, 235 The Donway East, North York.
