Heather, beloved wife of Ken Tuckey, died February 1, 2024, at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. Heather was the beloved mother of Gillian (Stephen Clarke), Caitlin (Jennifer Cowley), Karen (Kevin Donnan) and grandmother of Lola Jiminez, Lily Jiminez, Kinsey Clarke and her cat Trudi. She is predeceased by her parents Thomas Newburn and Katherine Stephen. She is survived by her sister Maureen (late Yvon Lavoie).
Heather was born June 24, 1941, in Sudbury. Graduating as a registered nurse from The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She was happiest doing her jigsaw puzzles and scratch cards, playing Mahjong, reading the New York Times daily and doing crossword puzzles. Heather remained active on The Hospital for Sick Children’s Alumnae Association of the School of Nursing for many years.
Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Aloysius Church in Fenelon Falls on Wednesday, February 7 at 11:00 AM followed by a reception.
Donations to The Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto) would be appreciated by the family.
