MONTGOMERY, MARY ELIZABETH PAIGE (nee WEST) Mary, widow of Don Montgomery, passed peacefully, in her home and surrounded by family, Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Mary was a registered nurse and graduate of Sick Children’s Hospital, and leaves a loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Tara, and son-in-law, Jim Goldman of Whitby; grandson, Shane, and wife, Sarah of Toronto; granddaughter, Shelby, and husband, Stephen Sayre of Selkirk, New York; great-grandchildren: Paige, Crosby, Sloane and Thea; nieces and nephews, relatives by marriage, and Mary’s tap dancing group “Stars on Tap”. Mary spent many years in various aspects of nursing, and kept in touch with her classmates from graduation in 1952 to the present. She was a resident of Taunton Mills in Whitby, after leaving her home in Scarborough after 65 years. At Mary’s wishes, her body has been donated to The University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine for research. The immediate family has already held private services. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
